Cheryl Sklan Accredited NLP Trainer, Consultant and Coach
Finding your essence and bringing your best self to everything you do.
Thank you for visiting my website and welcome.
Through one-to-one
coaching and participation on my programmes you will be introduced to NLP.
I run independent open programmes leading to a Practitioner Certificate,
in the UK, Israel and India. I also work with organisations that are seeking
change as well as Leadership Programmes for religious and secular enterprises.
I run NLP open programmes from my home in the UK. I create intimate
groups of learners, enabling participants to give and receive meaningful
feedback, setting compelling outcomes and changing the way we all operate
in the world.
Whether you are in work or at home and are looking to raise the bar in
your performance, I help you achieve that. This process is about achieving
alignment in everything you do.
I am a psychotherapist and trainer with over 25 years experience and love
the opportunity my work gives me to be part of the journey towards change.
I find NLP to be the most compelling way to explore personal development.
It allows us to contribute fully to our work, our families, friends and
the world. All my programmes are enriched by my values of passion,
openness, integrity, creativity and diversity.
I believe if we remain curious, open and we notice the qualities of excellence
in everyone we meet, we can model excellence and change our own piece of
the world. The collaborations I am engaged with this year are witness to
this belief.
My other passion is my voluntary work with young people, for which I received
an MBE last year. Among the organisations I have been involved with are
NOAM (Noar
Masorti) where Jewish youth find their identity and are able to live in
a multi cultural world and the Tibetan
Jewish Youth Exchange (TJYE) a partnership organisation with Longsho,
a Tibetan youth movementworking in north India. I am a trustee of
TJYE which is a place where Jewish and Tibetan youth exchange ideas and
learn about each others’ culture.
I am indebted to my teacher Sue
Knight, whose work has been so influential in the field of NLP in the
UK and beyond. I hope you find what you are looking for on the next pages
and I look forward to hearing from you.
THE FLAMINGO: The Power of Metaphor
Did you know that the flamingo is an extraordinary bird that has its own
unique system of communicating with fellow flamingos? It does this unique
dance, which is understood to be its mating dance, and then it takes off
in flight. Flamingo comes from the word flame, and in auyvedic understanding
that is the part of us, that has the power to transform. It brings all the
atoms together and creates an impulse of nervous reaction, feelings and
thought processes. So when I chose the flamingo as my metaphor for myself
and for my work on my own training, I chose from an unconscious part of
me and I believe that I chose well!
