Developing Businesses and TeamsI work in-house with several corporate and public organisations (NHS), offering change-management training using NLP and coaching. I give my total commitment to this work and feel that I am able to make a difference.I offer a range of programmes to small businesses, focusing on making the difference that makes the difference in this recession-conscious world. How we work with customers, how we make their day and retain their loyalty are crucial.I offer services as an in-house coach and trainer, working within the culture of the business or organisation, to bring about meaningful change and enabling employees to bring their best selves to their work. I offer support to employees as they go through organisational change, enabling them to move from denial to growth and renewal.“A business has to be involving; it has to be fun and it has to exercise your creative instincts.” Richard Branson. Family BusinessesI bring a great deal of personal experience to the field of family-run businesses. I recall my father and brother-in-law were both in family-run businesses and this proved extremely stressful and impacted on family life. I recently created a small family business with my daughter and I believe I bring this experience to my understanding of how to work through the myriad of complexities. I am passionate about this opportunity to bring my approach to improving communication and relationships to family business work.Family run businesses have a special dynamic and working with transition from one generation to another is crucial. Succession planning is the most painful truth for the family business to face, and they face it with difficulty. There are other challenges for family members in finding their identity as separate from their work, and in the powerful dynamic of family, as well as being faced with unresolved family conflicts. How do you become who you are in the context of your family business?I am conscious of the fragility of the family when put under the strain of working together and I work with the family’s inherent structures to create some air and space to be creative.“Work is love made visible. And if you cannot work with love but only with distaste, it is better that you should leave your work and sit at the gate of the temple and take alms off those who work with joy.” Kahlil Gibran.Working with change in the business environmentWe live in an ever-changing world. Technology changes daily. New ways of working, designed to ensure that we are getting the best possible results are a constant. Downsizing and merging are also part of the corporate landscape. I bring a wealth of experience to working with change and have developed effective interventions and models of change that are accessible and extremely effective.Change happens whatever we do, but engaging with it, bringing our best selves into the change and influencing the change is all important. Once the change has taken place, revisiting it and ensuring that it sticks is part of my approach. I assist businesses and their staff to face the fear of change and create the safety needed to embrace it. This is how we develop lasting change. I work in a range of businesses and organisations that are navigating their way through change.Coaching in business“To exist is to change, to change is to mature, to mature is to go on creating oneself endlessly”. Henry Bergeson.Coaching is about change. As a coach, I assist my client to look at his/her resources and see how they can be used more effectively to achieve his/her goals. Setting well-formed outcomes is an important part of this process. Executive coaching and business coaching is also a key area of my work. |
